Mosaics Classes

Come and learn the relaxing art of mosaic in a sunny workshop just off Hove seafront. Tutor Anna Tilson is an established mosaic artist well known for her 'vintage crockery' mosaic. Anna ia an experienced and inspiring teacher with considerable skill and expertise to share. Small classes suitable for beginners or those with experience.

One Day Mosaic Workshop

Take a day off! Indulge yourself in a small and friendly one-day introduction class to make a mosaic piece that you can take home at the end of the day. And of course, homemade cake and tea will be available.
 

6 week Mosaic Course

Learn the different methods of cutting, laying and grouting mosaic. Mosaic a mirror frame, cover a flower pot or decorate a small panel of your choice! Then explore the possibilities of makinf more ambitious projects.

Mosaic Summer School 2010

A unique opportunity to attend a 3 day workshop to learn the unusual craft of
‘PIQUE ASSIETTE‘– making mosaics out of broken crockery – with mosaic
artist Anna Tilson.
Come and learn the relaxing art of mosaic making in a sunny workshop just off Hove seafront. Anna is an experienced and inspiring teacher with considerable skill and expertise to share.
Small class, suitable for beginners or those with experience.
Students can either make a crockery covered flowerpot or a mirror. And perhaps more if time permits.
All tools and materials are provided as well as copious amounts of tea, coffee and biscuits.

Mosaic Parties for Kids

  • Great fun for everyone.
  • Suitable for ages 8+.
  • No artistic skill needed.
  • Everyone goes home with a unique mosaic.
  • Small groups – max 9 children.
  • 2 hr party. Price includes juice and biscuits.

    Everyone goes home with a unique mosaic.
    Small groups – max 6 people.
    2 ½ hr workshop party.
    Price includes complimentary bottle of wine and nibbles.

    On rare occasions we have to cancel under- subscribed workshops. In this instance a full refund will be given.
    If a place is cancelled less than two weeks before the start date, you will be liable for the full amount. Cancelations more than 14 days before start date will recieve full refund on amount paid

    Anna Tilson trained in Textile Design at St. Martins School of Art and is now an enthusiastic practitioner and teacher of mosaic making. She lives in Brighton and regularly exhibits in the Brighton Festival.
