The Venue

Cross Street Workshops is a new venue for exhibitions and classes. Set up in 2005 by a group of professional craftswomen from next door’s long established Cross Street Studios. 14b Cross Street has been workshops for the past 60 years and is steeped in local craft history.
After the war, woodcarving classes for ladies were held there, and the space has been used by local furniture restorers ever since.
Now returning to its educational roots with an exciting new range of courses, Cross Street Workshops welcomes all who want to learn in this friendly, professionally equipped and historic environment.
